PROFILE
Greg Blakesmith is a social studies and science teacher at Perry High School. He joined the faculty in 1993 and has taught Global Studies, Modern World History, American History, Contemporary World Issues, Biology, General Sciences, and Physical Sciences. He currently teaches American History which spans from 1877 to the present. As an undergraduate he minored in Native American Cultures and American History. He credits his earlier career experiences as a Park Naturalist and Ranger who specialized in natural sciences and the history of particular park systems for sparking his desire to be in the classroom.

Jeffrey Goodman is a teacher, department chair and advisor to the PHS Student Council freshmen class. Since joining the Perry High School Faculty in 2008, he has taught (and currently teaches) Advanced Placement Government, U.S. Government and Honors Government. Before arriving at Perry High School he taught for 9 years at Pasadena High School in Pasadena, California. While in Pasadena, he taught Advanced Placement European History, World Geography, Economics, World History and U.S Government. Mr. Goodman has traveled extensively throughout the world and spent a summer teaching at Shenyang University in China.

PROFILE
Al Iacofano is a teacher and Head Basketball Coach at Perry High School. He graduated from Perry High School in 2000 and returned to join the PHS social studies department in 2010 after teaching for several years at Wickliffe High School. He currently teaches AP U.S. History, Honors American History, American History, and World History. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Iacofano is an avid runner who has completed six marathons and six half marathons.

PROFILE
Matthew Rosati is a teacher and Head Football Coach at Perry High School. He brings 28 years of classroom experience to Social Studies Department. Since joining the Perry staff in 2007, he has taught Global Studies, AP Government, and American Government. He currently teaches Freshmen Honors Modern World History, a survey of 8 units spanning from the Enlightenment to the Post-Cold War era. He also currently teaches a senior elective titled Contemporary World Issues that examines a variety of topics facing the country and world. Mr. Rosati spent 17 years at West Geauga High School where he taught US History and American Government. He lives in Montville, Ohio with his wife, Christine, and three children: Kalli, Anthony, and Nicolette.

PROFILE
Mark Soeder is a teacher and moderator of the United Way Club and Recycling Club. Since joining the Perry High School faculty in 1998, he has taught Global Studies, U.S. History, Government, and Sociology. He currently co-teaches the Perry Service Learning (PSL) course, an elective for seniors that helps students connect their living with their learning through education and service. He has lead students on over 70 service trips to Appalachia, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Chicago, Camden, and Mobile. Since 2005, he has presented at the Mayerson High School Service Learning Workshop on topics ranging from how to grow a school garden to serving people with special needs.
